Entrance With a Visa

As a foreign traveler, you need a valid visa to enter into the Russian Federation (except the 3 days stay rule).

A standard Russian Travel Visa is valid for up to 30 days, after which it expires. However, when you book for accommodations with St. Petersburg Story Hunters, you will get all the necessary documents to apply for your visa without much stress.

Visit St. Petersburg without a Visa

Cruise ship passengers who choose to tour with St. Petersburg Story Hunters are eligible to visit St. Petersburg without a visa for up to 3 days (72 hours).

Visas are not required when touring with Story Hunters.

No client from a cruise ship that we have worked with has ever needed a regular visa to tour one of the most interesting cities in Russia — St. Petersburg. St. Petersburg Story Hunters’ tour tickets act as a visa when you are passing through immigration control in the cruise terminal.

You will need ONLY your Story Hunters ticket and your passport.

Here is some formal information about the requirements for visa-free passengers: According to Russian immigration law, tourists arriving in St. Petersburg on cruise ships are eligible to get off the ship without a regular Russian tourist visa, as long as they have met the following conditions:
