Terms and Conditions

General Terms and Conditions are part of the travel contract, together with the description of the travel package and the booking confirmation by the guest/traveler. When the guest/traveler confirms the purchase of the travel package, he or she has accepted, even on behalf of those who will participate in the travel, both the present General Terms and Conditions and any other advice reported in them.

Please review the Terms and Conditions carefully prior to completing your reservation. 

CONTENT OF TOUR PACKAGES

As an organizer of your travel, SPB Story Hunters guarantees implementation of the program as described in the arrangement that we organize and that you have received. The content of arrangement will be realized in full and as described above, except in case of exceptional circumstances (war, riots, strikes, terrorist attacks, sanitary problems, natural disasters, local authorities, etc). Tour itinerary(s) that you receive are just samples. Sequence of sights visited may vary due to various reasons. Trips are organized in the form of ready-made program packages or programs according to specific requirements.

By signing the contract or payment of the full amount of the package price or a deposit, it is considered that the user understands the arrangement of the general terms and conditions of the contract and that he fully accepts them as the sole basis for the regulation of the mutual rights and obligations. 

When you book your tour or package of tours, you represent that you have the authority from all guests on your booking(s), to accept our «Terms & Conditions» on their behalf. Parents/Legal guardians accept the «Terms & Conditions» on behalf of their children, including those who travel in a separate Tours.

REFUNDS

TRAVEL PACKAGE CONTENT AND PRICE

The content of the travel package defines the price of the package, or correspondingly the price includes everything the tour organizer (the agency) stated in the travel program. Additional services are not included in the price and therefore the traveller pays them separately. These additional services should be requested when registering and shall be added to the package price. Additional/optional and special services requested during the travel are to be paid directly to the tourist guide (or representative) of the company during the tour. 

Package prices are published in US Dollars. The amount will be automatically converted into Russian Rubles according to the exchange rate as set by the Central Bank of Russia on the day of payment. Prices are per person. A full list of Included and Not Included Tour Costs are noted in your Tour Itinerary.

CONFIRMATION OF BOOKING

These booking conditions together with our general information form the basis of your contract. Our online Booking Software has been designed to the highest level and is a secure environment to ensure all information given is fully protected. Whilst every measure is in place to ensure that the availability reflects accurately online, in the unlikely event of system failure or in the event that a problem arises, SPB Story Hunters will make every attempt to resolve any issues or provide comparable alternatives wherever possible. 

In the unlikely event of any problem with an online order, SPB Story Hunters will contact you at the earliest opportunity. In some cases, a postal confirmation may be sent out to you if requested. All purchases are subject to payment card verification and other security checks and your transaction may be cancelled if it has not passed our verification process. We also reserve the right to cancel bookings which we reasonably suspect to have been made fraudulently. 

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

When going ashore, please make sure you have the following set of documents:

The traveller that applies for a travel abroad must have valid identity documents – passport (not a copy). SPB Story Hunters Tickets (for each member of your party).

TRAVEL INSURANCE 

Before traveling on a cruise, we strongly recommend you review your personal insurance and health insurance to ensure you have coverage appropriate to meet your needs, and the needs of your family and dependants, in case of any loss of property or illness, injury or death. SPB Story Hunters does not provide any kind of insurance.

In case of loss or damage / destruction of luggage during transport of the same in the official means of transport to enable the arrangement, claims in terms of compensation shall be sent to the Carrier only. In the case of theft – the disappearance of luggage from accommodation facilities in which the arrangement is implemented, the arrangement user achieves his receivables from the owners of accommodation. 

HEALTH REGULATIONS 

We care about the health and safety of our guests. If you or anyone from your traveling party has a physical disability or medical condition which may require special assistance during the voyage, please advise us at the time of booking; failure to do so may release SPB Story Hunters from any liability for loss, damages or other compensation arising from or related in any way to such disability or condition. Guests that need assistance should always be accompanied by a carer to help with day to day activities as our Guides are unable to act as personal carers. 

FOOD ALLERGIES

If the Guest has any known allergies, or is intolerant to any food, he/she is required to inform the Company at the time of Booking and further to report it to the SPB Story Hunters. It is the responsibility of the Guest to ensure that he/she actively avoids any food he/she is allergic to. SPB Story Hunters will take all reasonable care if made aware in writing of any specific food or ingredient the Guest has an allergic reaction to and assist the Guest within reason to avoid any such food or ingredients.

In absence of such information neither the Company will be held responsible for preparing special meals for the Guest or any other prepared meals consumed by the Guest. In case of multiple allergies/intolerances, even though informed according hereto, SPB Story Hunters might not be able to avoid the risk of cross-contamination during food preparation and therefore neither the Company will be held responsible if such contamination occurs.

TOUR PARTICIPANT’S RESPONSIBILITY

Tour participants must be in sufficient good health to undertake our tours.

Tour participants have the responsibility to select a tour appropriate to their abilities and interests. If any concerns, we are also happy to discuss the tour with you. Tour participants are solely responsible for acquainting themselves with customs, weather conditions, physical challenges and laws in effect at each stop along the itinerary, and are encouraged to locate or make contact prior to embarkation with local embassy or consulate in each destination. And tour participants have to bring the appropriate clothing, shoes and equipment as advised therein.

ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES

SPB Story Hunters does not allow Visitor to carry any type of illegal drug on any of our trips. If the federal police checks and finds illegal drugs in a Visitor’s bag or on his/her person, SPB Story Hunters will not be held liable. The Visitor will be held liable and assume full responsibility for the consequences of carrying illegal drugs in a foreign country.

ELIGIBILITY

There are no general age limitations on private tours, although specific itineraries may have age-specific activities, and all minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Visiting exhibitions and events by children can have age restrictions. Faberge Museum has limitations: juvenile visitors under the age of 13 years inclusively are admitted to the exhibition with their parents, legal or other representatives, juveniles aged from 14 to 18 years can visit the exhibition independently, if there is no age restriction for visiting the exhibition for this category of visitors.

UNUSED SERVICES

There will be no discounts or monies refunded for missed or unused services, this includes voluntary or involuntary termination/departure from tour, i.e. sickness, death of a family member etc, late arrival on the tour, or premature departure either voluntarily or involuntarily.

SPB Story Hunters shall not be liable for the following:

AUTHORITY ON TOUR

At all times the decision of the Company’s tour leader or representative will be final on all matters likely to endanger the safety and well being of the tour. By booking with the Company, the Visitor agrees to abide by the authority of the tour leader or Company representative. The Visitor must at all times strictly comply with the laws, customs, foreign exchange and regulations of country visited. 

Should the Visitor fail to comply with the above or commit any illegal act when on the tour or, if in the opinion of the tour leader, the Visitor’s behavior is causing or is likely to cause danger, distress or annoyance to others the Company may terminate that Visitor’s travel arrangements without any liability on the Company’s part and the Visitor will not be entitled to any refund for unused or missed services or costs incurred resulting from the termination of the travel arrangements.

FACTORS OUTSIDE THE COMPANY’S CONTROL (FORCE MAJEURE)

SPB Story Hunters shall not be liable in any way to the Client for death, bodily injury, illness, damage, delay or other loss or detriment to person or property, or financial costs both direct and indirect incurred.

SPB Story Hunters must normally make substantial payments to its suppliers (museums, theaters, restaurants, transportation companies, etc.) far in advance of the scheduled tour date. If a tour is cancelled due to force majeure (acts of God, labour strikes, earthquake, flooding, etc.), SPB Story Hunters will promptly refund the portion of the tour cost not already advanced to suppliers and use its best efforts to recover and refund the balance as promptly as possible. However, SPB Story Hunters does not guarantee recovery of any or all of the advance payments made, and our use of best efforts to recover these payments will not include the institution of any legal proceedings in foreign jurisdictions.

SHOPPING

While we plan some time for shopping during our programs, our tours are not primarily designed for shopping, and time allowed for this purpose may be limited and not guaranteed.

                   

IMAGES, VIDEOS AND MARKETING

The Client agrees that during the tour images, photos or videos may be taken by other travellers and/or the Company Staff that may contain the Client in part or in whole. The Client agrees that these images may be reproduced by the Company and the Client grants perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide, irrevocable license to reproduce such images, photos or video in any medium for promotion and publicity purposes.

UPDATING OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The Company reserves the right to update and/or alter these terms and conditions at anytime, and it is the Client’s responsibility to be familiar with them. 

IF YOU HAVE A COMPLAINT

We do our best to give you an enjoyable tour, but occasionally even the best laid plans can go wrong. If you have a problem of your tour, you must contact our tour leader, representative or agent and register your complaint in writing, in order that it may be investigated and we may have the opportunity to resolve the matter on the spot. 

KNOWING AND VOLUNTARY EXECUTION

I have carefully read and fully understand the contents and legal ramifications of this Limitation of Liability Statement and Assumption of All Risks and Release of Liability Agreement, and all other materials provided to me concerning my trip, including, but not limited to, those regarding cancellation and refund policies. I understand that if I must cancel my reservation, the cancellation fee will be applied in accordance with the rates outlined above.
